Bug reporting

Found a bug? Read this first!

Make sure you are using the latest versions of all the software.

Are you using the latest version of Fritzing? Eagle?

Fritzing improves by the hour, there is a good chance the bug you're experiencing may be fixed already! http://www.fritzing.org/download Check your version!

Have you looked through the troubleshooting page? This might not be a bug.

Always search the bug forum first, and/or take a look at the Issue Tracker.

The odds are good that if you've found a problem, someone else has found it, too. If you spend a few minutes of your time making sure that you're not reporting a duplicate bug, that's a few more minutes someone can spend helping to fix that bug rather than sorting out duplicate bug reports. If you find a thread about your bug and can any additional information please do!

 

Report your bug

What are the details of your system setup?

What operating system are you using?

Which version of Fritzing (example, 'Alpha 0002'), Eagle are you using (Please be specific, saying the latest version might be fine today, but may be meaningless next week.)

What did you do? What did you want to happen? And what actually happened?

These are the three basic things we need to know to address your bug. Tell us exactly what you did step for step. (example, I clicked file -> open) Tell us what you expected to happen. (example, I expected an 'Open' dialog box to appear) And tell us exactly what happened, including any error messages that may pop up. (example, my hard drive burst into flames)
