More realism and an extensible part library for the new release 0004.
Fritzing Alpha 0004
We are happy to announce Fritzing release 0004, which marks a big milestone for us. The two main features:
More Realism
The breadboard is finally in, and all parts now have bendable legs so that you can plug them directly into the breadboard or the Arduino. Graphics are now hi-res, check out the translucent LEDs!
Extensible part library
All parts are now externally defined in the libraries subfolder. This means that you can easily add your own parts simply by creating a descriptive XML plus a few images. We will soon have a tutorial and a little PDK (Part Development Kit) to make it even easier.
Other than that, we tried to make the overall experience more smooth and pleasant. The history of changes has all the details.
We welcome you to give it a more serious spin this time, as we hope that Fritzing is now ready for that. From now on we even more depend on your real-world experiences and requirements. Let us know!
