Troubleshooting

Common problems and solutions in Eagle.

Why do I get a PCB Export Error that says Could not find EAGLE installation at /. when I click "Export to PCB"?
You need to tell Fritzing where to find your installation of Eagle.  Navigate to File -> Preferences.. > Fritzing > EAGLE and set the directory where Eagle is installed.
More information can be found in Installing Eagle.
Why does Eagle tell me "The Light edition of EAGLE can't perform the requested action"?
The most likely cause is that parts are outside the bounds of Eagle's free PCB boundaries (100 mm x 80 mm). Move the parts in Fritzing closer to the 0, 0 coordinates of the sketch and try again. (You can see the coordinates by switching on the rulers: Click on the background, then select the Rulers & Grid tab in the Properties window, and select Show Grid.)
