Oops...  I didn't see this text area originally......

When I installed Eagle, the installation put the application in:

lower case letters, but the .app file was uppercase, and fritzing didn't like that...so I had to change that.... (I may have had that reversed... I'm working from memory at

the moment and don't have time to verify the exact behavior...  I'll post again soon!)

Yes I had it backward....

the error message after setting the location of Eagle in Fritzing preferences is:

Could not find EAGLE installation at /Applications/EAGLE/EAGLE.app/.

Please check if you correctly set the EAGLE location in the preferences.

Reason:

No EAGLE executable at /Applications/EAGLE/EAGLE.app/Contents/MacOS/eagle

when I change the last element of that path to UPPER case... it works fine...

That would be an easy fix...

This looks like it's going to be an excellent tool... I love it already!

Hi Devon,

thanks for letting us know! It seems that Cadsoft changed this from the beta versions 4.9x to the release 5.0. That's very annoying..

The fix you recommend is indeed the only way right now to make Fritzing 0005 work with Eagle 5.0.0.

I'll put a note in the installation instructions.
